Material painting workshop

Saturday, October 21 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

In this workshop we will be painting matter! For this we will process different materials on a canvas. This can be done in a circle like the example, but you can of course also think of a different shape. Of course you can bring (natural) materials, but the teacher will also bring many materials. Layer by layer, the teacher shows you how to structure the work. In addition to the materials, we also use pastes to create beautiful structures. For the color we work with ink and paint.

Materials

The workshop includes materials . You will receive a 30x30 cm canvas to work on and there are different colors of ink and acrylic paint to choose from.

Wear old clothes and please bring the following materials with you:

• Flat brush of 1 to 1.5 cm wide (a short handle is sufficient). If you know that you like to work precisely, take some smaller brushes with you.
• Apron
• Pair of scissors
• Plastic for the table: garbage bag is sufficient
• Plate with cling film, which can serve as a pallet or plastic plate that you can throw away
• Water container/pot, e.g. a yogurt bucket
• Possibly your favorite colors of acrylic paint/ink
• Any materials you want to incorporate into your work, such as natural materials, paper or fabric.

Take

Hair dryers are available to dry the work. Still, the work is unlikely to be dry at the end of the workshop. So make sure you can transport it horizontally and that you have something plastic to put it on.
